The goal for this project was to convert an old, unattractive lean-to into three functional spaces for the clients home. The client was keen to save on costs by preserving existing supporting structures, and make the most of the space available.
The old lean-to, which spanned to entire length of the home, was completely removed and replaced with a fully insulated timber structure finished with sage green cement board cladding. A floating floor was added to the height of the existing main building floor and a knock-through was undertaken, preserving existing supporting structures. This created 3 self contained spaces (A bike store, a storage/kids play room, and a utility room) which were fully finished and decorated throughout to match the overall aesthetic of the home.
